Getting Ready for Your Pool
When you build a pool with McAllen pool contractor Flamingo Pools, we are on your property for 50 working days, requiring complete access to your yard. The construction process is extensive, but it it is not unusual, that for several consecutive days, workers are not on the job site. This is standard procedure in our process and your pool will still be finished within 50 working days.
Before Flamingo Pools can start construction on your swimming pool, there are several things you must do before we arrive:
• The following utilities should be contacted before excavation:
◦ Gas company
◦ Phone company
◦ Electric company
◦ Cable/satellite provider
* Note: Call One Call Landmark at 1-800-245-4545 and they will mark all lines for you
• All gates should be unlocked
• Children must be cautioned to stay away from the backyard until the pool is finished
• Arrangements should be made for all pets during the construction process to keep them safe and to protect our workers
Our McAllen pool construction team works as carefully as possible, however, we do need your help. Please put away all valuable objects and equipment, children’s toys, bicycles and exercise equipment. Tools such as shovels, rakes and brooms, hoses, etc…should also be stored, to avoid ownership confusion at the end of the project. Flamingo Pools is not responsible for any items left unattended.
The Process
Our construction process at Flamingo Pools is approximately 18 steps and will take about 50 working days to complete the project and finish your pool. Here is the process you can expect, primarily in order:
• Pool layout
• Excavation
• Plumbing installed
• Steel installed
• Pool ground electrically
• City inspection for: steel, plumbing and electrical
• Concrete shell
• Prepare for tile
• Tile installed
• Deck is formed
• Deck is poured
• Pool is prepared for plaster
• Pool plastered
• Pool equipment is set
• Pool equipment is wired
• Pool is filled with water
• Yard is cleaned up
• Pool and equipment orientation for customer
Please be advised that only five of the above steps are scheduled:
• Excavation
• Concrete shell
• Deck
• Plastering
• Pool orientation
These are the only events you will be notified about before they occur. All other events take place as scheduling allows and you will not be notified.
